Our Story
In March 2024, we took a leap and bought our little lifestyle block in Rerewhakaaitu. What stood on the property was an old, run-down herringbone shed once used for milking cows.
With time, effort, and a lot of love, we’ve transformed that space into a small greenhouse — the heart of our nursery. My passion for gardening began years before, growing vegetables for our own table, and that love of plants has now grown into something bigger.
This journey is about more than just growing seedlings; it’s about creating a place where resilience, care, and connection to the land can thrive.
As a small local grower, we believe in keeping things simple, honest, and close to home. Instead of large-scale commercial hybrids, we’ve chosen to nurture heirloom vegetables — unique varieties with history, flavour, and resilience. Every plant we grow starts right here in our converted shed greenhouse, cared for by hand. By choosing our seedlings, you’re not just planting a garden; you’re supporting a local family farm and helping keep traditional seeds alive for future generations. Supporting local farmers means keeping communities strong and making sure good food is grown close to home.
